Brian Monroe
Brian grew up in Santa Barbara, California, absorbing the style and architecture on display in the nation’s most expensive zip code. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico. After graduation, he went to work as a purchasing agent for one of the top ten mechanical contractors in the United States.
Eager to learn home construction from the ground up, Brian went to work as a carpenter for a custom homebuilder in Santa Barbara. He was part of the team of professionals that built the Essam Khashoggi Estate, which recently sold for fifty million dollars in April – the third highest sale in California history. In 1996, Brian supervised the construction of Japanese artist Eizin Suzuki’s home in Yokohama, Japan, as well as two other luxury homes in that country. In 1998, Brian moved to the Atlanta metro area and founded the company that is today known as PebbleDash Builders.
Brian Hutzler
You could say Brian Hutzler came by his love of home-building naturally. Raised in a construction family on Long Island, New York (while his father is now retired, his brothers are all in construction today), he grew up with a first-hand understanding of the business. While earning a degree in Business Administration from UNC-Asheville, Brian spent summers working in construction in the Hamptons, an experience that expanded his appreciation for fine architecture and beautiful homes.
In his 20s, Brian joined The Alpha Group, then Asheville’s leading advertising agency, as an account coordinator. His remarkable acumen and business smarts made him a standout, and he quickly rose through the ranks, being named the agency’s president by the age of 29. In this role, Brian oversaw the marketing for some of the region’s most noted companies, including Ingles Markets, The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa, and Beverly-Hanks.
Under Brian’s stewardship, The Alpha Group also became known for its expertise in luxury homes and real estate, representing such standout projects and communities as Southcliff, The Ramble Biltmore Forest, Biltmore Lake, and The Fitzgerald.
Throughout his tenure at Alpha, Brian continued to build showcase homes, and, in 2006, he joined forces with Brian Monroe to form PebbleDash Builders. The firm quickly established a reputation for their outstanding luxury homes, artful craftsmanship and dedication to client satisfaction.
